Brought to you by
Lambton Park Carols is brought to you by Hunter Bible Church, with generous assistance by our partners. We love these local legends!
Please take care
Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. Here are a few things to keep in mind during your time in the park.
Children
Since Lambton Park is a public space all parents and guardians need to be responsible for their children at all times even when they are using the stalls and activities available.
Food trucks and stalls
The stalls are all run by independent providers, so please speak directly with them about their services.
Fireworks
The fireworks will be very loud, so please make sure your children are prepared for them after the last song.
Access
Keep the marked pathways clear so people can exit quickly if they need to.
Leaving
Please take care leaving the site after the fireworks. Drive carefully as there will be many children around.
Toilets
There are two blocks of toilets located beside the rotunda and on the eastern end of the park. Parents and carers, please take responsibility for your children using these. See a map for locations.
Assembly Point
A good place to arrange to meet lost kids might be at the Hunter Bible Church Tent near the jumping castles.
Your picnic set-up
Please avoid using tall shade covers and tents as this makes it hard for other people to see.
Pets
Pets are allowed in the public park, however they are required to be leashed and attended at all times.
Enjoy!
We hope you have a great night and a joy-filled Christmas. We’d love to see you again at one of our Hunter Bible Church Christmas services.

Christ, by highest heaven adored,

Glory to the King
Glory to the King

Rockin Around/Jingle Bell Rock Mashup
V1
Rockin' around the Christmas tree, at the Christmas party hop.
Mistletoe hung where you can see; every couple wants to stop.
V2
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock,
jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring.
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
Br1
You will get a sentimental feeling, when you hear;
Voices singing; "let's be jolly; deck the halls with boughs of holly".
V3
Rockin' around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday.
Ev'ryone dancing merrily, in the new old-fashioned way...
Chorus
What a bright time, it's the right time,
to rock the night away.
Jingle bell time is a swell time,
to go gliding in a one-horse sleigh.
V3
Rockin' around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday.
Ev'ryone dancing merrily, in the new old-fashioned way.
Song 5
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
V1
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on, our troubles will be out of sight
V2
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on, our troubles will be miles away
Ch
Here we are as in the olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
V3
Through the year we all will be together
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.
Ch
Here we are as in the olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Song 6
Away in a Manger
V1
Away in a manger, no crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head
The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus, a-sleep on the hay
V2
The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes
But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes
I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky
And stay by my side till morning is nigh
Br
Be near me, Lord
Be near me, Lord
Be near me, Lord
V3
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care
And take us to heaven to live with You there
Outro
We’ll be with you Lord Jesus,
We’ll be with you Lord,
We’ll be with you

Song 7
The First Noel
V1
The first no-el the angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds
In fields as they lay
In fields where they lay
Keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night
That was so deep
Refrain
Noel, Noel
Noel, Noel
V2
They looked up and
Saw a star
Shining in the east beyond
them far
And to the earth it gave
great light
And so it continued both
Day and night
Refrain
Noel, Noel
Noel, Noel
Refrain
Noel, Noel
Born is the king of Israel
Noel, Noel
Born is the king of Israel

Aussie Jingle Bells
V1
Dashing Through the bush
In a rusty Holden Ute
Kicking up the dust
Esky in the boot
Kelpie by my side
Singing Christmas songs
It's summer time and I am in my singlet,
shorts and thongs!
CHORUS
Oh, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
Jingle all the way
Christmas in Australia
On a Scorching summer's day
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
Christmas time is beaut
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a rusty Holden Ute!
V2
Engine's getting hot
Dodge the Kangaroos
Swaggie climbs aboard
He is welcome too
All the family is there
Sitting by the pool
Christmas day, the Aussie way
By the barbeque!
CHORUS
V3
Come the afternoon
Grandpa has a doze
The kids and Uncle Bruce
Are swimming in their clothes
The time comes round to go
We take a family snap
Then pack the car and all shoot through
Before the washing up.
CHORUS
Song 10
Run Run Rudolph
Out of all the reindeers you know you are the mastermind
Run, run Rudolph, Randolph ain't too far behind
CHORUS
Run, run Rudolph, Santa's gotta make it to town
Santa, make him hurry, tell him he can take the freeway down
Run, run Rudolph 'cause I'm reelin' like a merry-go-round
V1
Said Santa to a boy child, "What have you been longin' for?"
"All I want for Christmas is a rock 'n' roll electric guitar"
And then away went Rudolph whizzin' like a shootin' star
CHORUS X 2
V2
Said Santa to a girl child, "What would please you most to get?"
"A little baby doll that can cry, sleep, drink and wet"
And then away went Rudolph, whizzin' like a Saber jet

Mary and Joseph go to Bethlehem
Bethlehem
Bethlehem
Mary and Joseph go to Bethlehem
On that very first Christmas
The baby Jesus born that night
Born that night
Born that night
Baby Jesus born that night
On that very first Christmas
The wise men come to worship him
Worship him
Worship him
The wise men come to worship him
On that very first Christmas
The shepherds told that the King is born
The King is born
The King is born
The shepherds told that the King is born
On that very first Christmas
The angels singing "Glory to God"
"Glory to God"
"Glory to God"
The angels singing "Glory to God"

Song 12
How to Make Gravy
V1
Hello Dan, it's Joe here, I hope you're keeping well
It's the 21st of December, and now they're ringing the last bells
If I get good behaviour, I'll be out of here by July
Won't you kiss my kids on Christmas Day, please don't let 'em cry for me
V2
I guess the brothers are driving down from Queensland and Stella's flying in from the coast
They say it's gonna be a hundred degrees, even more maybe, but that won't stop the roast
Who's gonna make the gravy now? I bet it won't taste the same
Just add flour, salt, a little red wine
And don't forget a dollop of tomato sauce for sweetness and that extra tang
CHORUS 1
And give my love to Angus and to Frank and Dolly,
Tell 'em all I'm sorry I screwed up this time
And look after Rita, I'll be thinking of her early Christmas morning
When I'm standing in line
V3
I hear Mary's got a new boyfriend, I hope he can hold his own
Do you remember the last one? What was his name again?
(Just a little too much cologne)
And Roger, you know I'm even gonna miss Roger
'Cause there's sure as hell no one in here I want to fight
CHORUS 2
Oh praise the Baby Jesus, have a Merry Christmas,
I'm really gonna miss it, all the treasure and the trash
And later in the evening, I can just imagine,
You'll put on Junior Murvin and push the tables back
And you'll dance with Rita, I know you really like her,
Just don't hold her too close, oh brother please don't stab me in the back
I didn't mean to say that, it's just my mind it plays up,
Multiplies each matter, turns imagination into fact
You know I love her badly, she's the one to save me,
I'm gonna make some gravy, I'm gonna taste the fat
Tell her that I'm sorry, yeah I love her badly, tell 'em all I'm sorry,
And kiss the sleepy children for me
You know one of these days, I'll be making gravy,
I'll be making plenty, I'm gonna pay 'em all back

Song 15
Joy to The World
Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
let ev’ry heart prepare him room
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.
Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ,
while fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains,
repeat the sounding joy,
repeat the sounding joy,
repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
He rules the world with truth and grace
and makes the nations prove
the glories of his righteousness
and wonders of his love,
and wonders of his love,
and wonders, wonders of his love.
Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
let ev’ry heart prepare him room
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven, and heaven and nature sing.

All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild,
sleep in heavenly peace,
sleep in heavenly peace.

Shepherds quake at the sight.
Glories stream from heaven afar,
heavenly hosts sing, Alleluia!
Christ, the Savior, is born!
Christ, the Savior, is born!

Silent night, holy night!
Son of God, love’s pure light
radiant beams from thy holy face
with the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.

I’ll be Home for Christmas
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
Song 18
O Holy Night
Verse 1
O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
'Til He appears and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Chorus
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
Verse 2
Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is Peace
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us Praise His Holy name
Chorus 2
Christ is the Lord; O praise His name forever!
His power and glory evermore proclaim
His power and glory evermore proclaim
Chorus 1
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night, O Holy night, O night divine!

Christ whose birth the angels sing;
